Error correction
Still scans with up to 15% of the code damaged or covered. Higher levels make a denser code, which is harder to scan when printed small.

About
Type a link or any text and get a QR code you can download as PNG or SVG, or switch to Wi-Fi mode to make a code that joins a network on scan. These are static codes: everything is encoded in the image itself, with no redirect through a server, so a code cannot expire and there is nothing to sign up for.
- Do these QR codes expire?
- No. The data lives in the image, not behind a redirect, so the code keeps working for as long as the link, text or Wi-Fi details do.
- How does the Wi-Fi mode work?
- Enter the network name and password and scanning the code joins the network automatically on most phones, no typing needed. Everything is generated in your browser, the same as any other code on this page: the network name and password are never sent anywhere.
- Should I download PNG or SVG?
- PNG is fine for screens and documents. SVG stays sharp at any size, so use it for print and large signs.
- What does error correction do?
- It lets a code still scan when part of it is dirty or covered. Level L recovers about 7% damage, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. Higher levels make denser codes.
- Why is it only black on white?
- Many scanners struggle with coloured or inverted codes, so the output is always dark on light with a proper blank margin.
- Does it work with emoji and non-English text?
- Yes. Text is encoded as UTF-8, and the code is built in your browser.
